OUR HISTORY
With his fixed, deep gaze from the balcony of a seafront apartment in the city of Santos, state of São Paulo Brazil, where we family members were used to spending our year-end vacations, the Spaniard Francisco Ângelo Montolar Buil was sitting in a chair looking out over the horizon at the Atlantic Ocean.
I, Francisco Ângelo Montolar Buil Neto, his grandson, a child of about 10 years old, was silently imagining what was going on in the mind of my Spanish immigrant grandfather, who, very young and along with his family had landed in that port and with hard work, persistence, dedication, managed to build his life in Brazil. The country that welcomed them to live in. When they arrived in Brazil, my grandfather and his family went to work in the coffee plantations in the interior of the State of São Paulo, in the city of Jaú. They passed through several cities until the beginning of the 1930s, when they married Dirna Montolar, also an immigrant from Spain, and settled in the city of Marília-SP, which at the time was beginning its colonization. Continuing in the commerce, in 1939 he bought his first rural property "fazenda" where there was coffee production and also set up a company of benefit and coffee commerce, buying and selling coffee from all over the region. In 1942 he bought, together with his brother Gregorio Montolar Buil, a plot of land still in the bush in the city of Sagres SP. Transforming it into a productive farm. Later, with the death of the founder Francisco Ângelo Montolar Buil, in the beginning of 1970 the farm started to be managed by Manoel Montolar Pelesel, son of the founder "my father", who modernized it and prepared it for the future. After the 1990's we jointly managed this farm that I still live on today with my family.
This story, which I am briefly telling, has guided my entire life. In 1991 I founded a commercial representation company that operated domestically in Brazil. After years, the company, which is currently called G&N International Business, began to operate abroad. Today our company is dedicated to prospecting products and goods for potential clients abroad. Our company's goal is to make the commercial exchange between nations. Finding the target products that our customers need, this is our great motivation. Transparency, trust, and longevity in business is our major goal. My grandfather's profound look at the ocean always motivated me to discover what existed beyond that horizon. With this purpose I was led to get to know several countries and cultures.
